Power‘s season 4 finale picks up right after the shooting that rocked us all at the end of the last episode. Tariq, Ghost, and Tasha are in the police office, where Tariq is recounting the events that led to his sister’s death. The detective questioning Tariq reveals that prints for a size 10.5 boot were found on the scene. As the detective keeps pushing for more information, Tariq starts crying, claiming he’s told the cops everything he knows. We all know Tariq is lying.
At the start of “That Ain’t Me,” Tariq is trying to turn his life around. Now that he’s decided he wants to go to a prep school in Connecticut, it’s time for his interview. When questioned about the decline in his grades and social behavior, he spins the answer in his — and his father’s — favor, explaining that he struggled after his dad was wrongly accused.
The morning after sleeping with Tasha, Silver gets a surprise visit — from Tasha’s husband. Ghost questions Silver about Proctor, asking if any criminal charges have been filed against him. Ghost is clearly still worried about what business Maks had outside Proctor’s apartment. As he’s getting ready to leave, Ghost notices a woman’s earring on the floor, though he doesn’t seem to realize it’s Tasha’s. “I didn’t know you had a lady,” he says. Silver replies, “I wouldn’t call her my lady.”
Tommy is back in New York. Fresh off his trip to Chicago, he heads to the stash spot, only to see B.G. tied up on the floor. B.G. tells him that Ghost and Kanan robbed the place and killed Tommy’s guy, Marcus, in the process. Surprised to learn that Kanan is still alive, Tommy picks up a call from Ghost and starts yelling, but Ghost asks him to meet somewhere so he can explain what happened.
